Ken, regardless of the design, the camera should still calculate a correct exposure? The tests will help. I like Eddie's idea too.

Yet to be proven, but I think I have got to the bottom of the overexposure problem.

Robbie and I went to Penmon Point today and, using 2 different lenses, every shot loaded into Lightroom came up at least 0.5 over. I checked the histogram on the back of the camera and everything was fine, so the problem was obviously happening in LR.

On a hunch I dug into the menu settings and discovered that Active D Lighting was set to Auto instead of off. I can only assume this happened when I reset the camera to factory settings a little while ago. Did some checking on Google and found an article or 2 which said that Lightroom doesn't cope well with Active D Lighting. I turned if off and shot a couple of indoor images, which have loaded up exactly as they looked on the camera, so hopefully all will be well next time out.

Thanks for your help.
