Since I updated the latest update in Lightroom when I attach a star rating in the develop mode to an image it won't show on the image in the film strip. It will though show if I change to the Library Mode. Anyone know why?

Right click an image in the film strip, select View Options and make sure "Show Ratings and Picks" is turned on.

Thanks for your reply Big Bri. Checked that and all the boxes are ticked. In Develop Mode when I click on an image in film strip I get a box come up on screen saying 'set rating to 1' No star rating shows up on the image but if I go into Library the star rating is showing.

Are you saying the stars don't appear on the film strip at the bottom, or the image itself?
I just tried it again and it's working fine when I do it. If you're talking about stars on the image itself, click on the dropdown arrow at the right hand side below the image and make sure "Ratings" is turned on there.
Otherwise, as a long time IT professional Wink the only thing I can suggest is turn it off and on again Smile

By that, I mean un-click the settings discussed, to turn ratings off, then click them again to turn ratings on.

Whilst in develop mode press t for toolbar and a grey bar should appear under the photo. It has a downward arrow to the right of it where you can select what appears on the toolbar.
You can press t again to show or hide the bar.

Thanks for your response. The star rating (1,2,3,4,5 don't show in film strip after pressing the number corresponding to that star, but coloured labels do show). If I star rate images (star not showing film strip) and click on No filter drop down box and choose rated the rated images show even though no star rate is visible and non rated disappear. However, the star shows on the images Library Mode.

Thanks for your help and patience

Hi thanks for your help, problem solved. The image in the film strip was too small, when I put the cursor on the line under where it reads soft proofing the cursor changed to a double arrow and moved the line up making the image in the film strip bigger showing the star rating.

Many thanks to you both.

Sorted Smile
I never have that problem as my eyesight is so bad I have to have everything scaled up as large as possible Smile
