Locking the focal point

25 Feb 2022 3:34PM
I've recently upgraded my pocket camera from an LX5 to an LX15. I'm very pleased with it, other than one problem. The focal point - normally set to a small area - often moves to somewhere different, usually the corner of the screen, presumably because I have inadvertently touched the screen.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way of locking the focal point in the centre?

I had a similar problem when my nose touched the rear screen when I looked
through the EVF !!….so I just went into the set-up menu & switched off the
touch-screen facility…no more problems since !!.WinkGrin

That would be fine if I could work out how to turn the touch screen off! There's nothing in the menus, or the handbook as far as I can see.

Found it! Done. My large fingers don't get on with touch screens.

I had a similar problem with my fuji xt20 but I was touching the D pad so configured the right button to bring up histogram and also turned off touch screen, I predominantly focus then frame the shot.
