Mavis Dean, RIP

I have been lurking but haven't contributed to the site for quite a few years now, so hi anyone who remembers me. I've just come on to announce the sad passing of one of EPZ's truly inspirational characters, Mavis Dean, or simply Mavis.
Loved by many on the site for her warm interactions on the photographic pages, others of us were privileged to know the lady in person from her numerous attendances at those wonderful meets in Ireland and Scotland. Her energy and verve belied her above-average years (I think we celebrated her 80th at the Connemara meet), and her gentle friendliness coupled with her impish humour and razor-sharp delivery brought joy to the lives of so many in the photographic community here on EPZ. Rest in peace, Queen Maeve.

By the way, Mavis's younger brother Rob was also a member here, username Rock. We met him a few times in York with his hearing dog, but I cannot find his pf now. Does anyone have news of him?
Thanks for the update by the way Stephen, and good to see you around. The Critique Team is soldiering on...

Sad news.
Had a lot of interaction with her in my early days on site. Great sense of humour, used to rib me about my images. She reckoned I was conning Pete ( ex-Editor) for awards and that I had a bag of plastic insects I was using for photographs. 🐞🦋🐛. I had noticed her long absence from site.
RIP Mavis.
