The first manual lens adapter which can turn old lenses to autofocus ones for Nikon Z mount has been manufactured!

Are you referring tom the TC-16 from 1984 and the TC-16A from 1986?

They contained a micro motor which obtained power from the camera battery.

Whether they can draw power from a Z body is something I do not know.

In theory this type of converter should be able to draw power from the camera body in a similar way to the motors in AF-S, E and P lenses.

Leica M to Z is IMO not going to have many takers!

How good the optical performance would be is an interesting question.

Many modern lenses have a very precise and constant rear element distance to the sensor - to ensure R, G and blue light each precisely focus at the same distance - with no colour fringing.
Focus with this type of lens takes place within the lens - and the rear element does not move.

A converter that extends the lens flange to sensor distance to focus is unlikely to match Leica standards with several Leica lenses.

Len... I agree, even if I did shoot Nikon I don't think this would be of any interest to me.
