I still own 2 X700's and they are very capable cameras. Nice size but full of features, from full manual to basic programme modes, Depth of Field preview, studio PC sync socket and access to the massive range of optics. It is a great camera and I would have no hesitation in recommending it as they take the knocks (metal body) and stand the test of time.

Have used them their fine. There is a stupid bleep feature built in but the little window showing Aperture setting is good. A decent camera in fact.

The 1/60 flash sync is a bit slow but otherwise a fine camera. I used one for a decade without any problems - I only traded-up because I wanted AF.
