Most expensive petrol in the UK?

Last night, I had to buy petrol at a motorway service station - Exeter on the M5 - and ordinary unleaded cost me 146.7p per liter which is 16p more than our local. I bought just enough to get me home. The only good part is that I didn't have to walk!

Is this the most expensive petrol in the UK?

The price here in Tenerife has gone up a lot. A litre for 95 octane here is around 1.03. Diesel is around 0.95 a litre. It's a disgrace the prices they charge today TongueWink

Here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada it's $1.16.9 Cdn today.Tongue

It costs me about $25.00 to $30.00 to go to the Rockies, drive around my old haunts, and return; which isn't too bad I suppose.

I have been supporting Fair Fuel UK, by signing up to their news letter, following and sharing them on Facebook and sending their template emails to my MP. It all helps keep the pressure on.

I accept that many things will be more expensive in the remote Highlands and Islands because the transport costs must be horrendous: but Exeter?

what is noticeable down here is how it varies with location:
- Christchurch 1.30
- A31 trunk road 5 miles aways 1.32
- M27 Motorway about 14 miles away 1.34
- M25 closer to London 1.40

As it all probably comes from the same depot (I know the first 3 do) and were the same OilCo one can only put it down to "Market Forces" ie: screw the poor bloddy driver for every penny you can! Sad
