I see now that Labour MPs have stopped people taking pictures of delegates queueing up on the street to go into the Annual Conference.
Oliver Letwin (an MP) had his camer taken off him and a police officer deleted the images..................and the legality is where?

the only place left to photograph safely will be your garden if these bans escalate. If you havn`t got a garden, tough.

And undoubtedly even the neighbours may get a say in that...

Hmmm perhaps they have memories of something called the Economic League whose re[resentatives loved taking picyures of Labour members, trade unionists, peace campaigners and such and sold their names to businesses fo rmoney... I'm pretty sure they cost me at least one job.

But by-the-by if a member of another political party took pictures of me going into one of my party's functions I'd want to know why I shouldn't give him a kick up the arse in return, let alone delete his images

I don't think anyone held it against Yorkshire... probably more of a shock for anyone who associated Norris McWhirter primarily with 'Recordbreakers'

According to the beeb, it wasn't Oliver Letwin whose camera was wiped, but Austin Mitchell. This is even wierder as Mitchell is a Labour MP. Perhaps he's just not Blairite enough for them. We shouldn't be surprised, at an event where, reportedly, an 80-something bloke was manhandled out of the conference for shouting "rubbish" and "nonsense" at Jack Straw, following which he was banned under anti-terrorism (!!!) laws from returning to the conference.

Kid was banned from flying a kite under the anti-terror 'no fly zone' too. That crossed the border into ridiculous in my books.
