Neither happy with the old kit or excited about new models.
I was using 2 Panasonic GH1 cameras with 2 zooms. The GH1s are about 10 years old, and working OK, but bits were falling off and taped up.
I decided to get a GH3, and get a wide range zoom so as to only need one body, and also try a GX7 with a pancake lens as being more pocketable. The smaller lens I bought is also faster and better in low light, where I was previously using a cheap little CCTV lens.
As I rarely use my DSLR now, I've sold some lenses to offset the cost of the new(er) cameras.
So, I'm reasonably happy with what I've now got, which is 5 years old but new to me, although I could have probably carried on with the GH1s for a lot longer.

From a performance view my Canon 5D4 has all I need and I would never need to replace it unless it developed a fault. However, the weight of my equipment is an increasing issue so I will eventually buy something lighter. Given that new mirrorless cameras seem to be regularly released, I see no reason to rush into an early decision. My ideal solution would be same performance as my 5D4 with total weight of camera and lenses at less than half the current weight.

Our senses, bank balances, credit cards, handbags, purses and wallets are constantly assaulted with manufacturers’ exultations, assertions and endemic shiny box syndrome, in fact improvements today are in practise much more marginal than significant, we are lucky that present digital technology will fulfil the vast majority of our expectations.
However I am far more excited and interested in the infiltration of AI in our software, already I have experienced some amazing results from such and we are just at the beginning ... WOW!
