New feature to edit my uploaded photograph?

hello

I am wondering if an option could be added so that I can edit an uploaded photograph. text details can be adjusted but not the photograph itself. I can then if necessary just reload the photo rather than doing the current total delete which means losing all the comments & user awards etc.

sometimes when I have uploaded a photograph, I notice afterwards something about the photo I would like to adjust.

thanks

peter

Hi Peter,

The problem then would be that all votes and comments would refer to the original 'version' and not to the amended one.
The best thing would be to upload the 'new and improved' image as a version and highlight that fact in an amended image description.

Will people know / realise you have uploaded a " version " of the original ?

Would it not be better to upload as " new " and refer back to the original ?

Put another way then.

How often do people go back to an image previously commented / voted on to check to see if the description mentions a " version " has been added ?

I cannot use " versions " so maybe they do appear in the gallery as a " new " image, if so I stand corrected Smile

what I will do in future is check and double check my photo is fully right before uploading it.
the problem was, I had worked on the photograph during the day in sunlit daylight conditions. in evening light, I noticed certain editing elements and toning differences that made the photograph look different to how I had seen it earlier in the day. if I could click on the photo and reload my adjusted version to replace it was a thought but I had forgotten about the variations feature which is a good enough alternative option.

even before uploading one, my photo can look different across my various computers and my tablet so in the end is a gamble and just upload and hope it looks alright Grin
