New Group Member Introduction

Don't be shy ... Say Hello
So .... Hello, I'm Kev and I've been a member of ephotozine for 5 years. Never really done much photography but I intend to change that.
I consider myself to be more of a 'point and shoot' photographer that's wanting to learn and progress ( my portfolio confirms that )
My friend Russ came up with the idea of a group so here we are. Just the two of us at the moment .. ( Hi Russ ) !!! but I'm sure we will gather momentum.
I'm a HGV driver working nights for Wincanton at Doncaster so I only really get time for photography at the weekends.
There ... I've got the ball rolling ... Who's next ?

Hi from member number three !
You'll see as I build my portfolio my main interests are my two crazy Springers Bud and Miller and the natural world.
I work long hours Monday to Friday with the odd Saturday thrown in and spend a bit of time and money on my beloved Tottenham Hotspur.
When I'm not working, walking the dogs or in London I enjoy going for the odd day out on the Yorkshire coast with the wife (Mrs.P) and that's where we spend the annual summer hols.
I'm a new comer to photography, the areas I'm looking at developing are landscapes and close ups OH and shutter speeds on water falls.....

That's me

HI Im Armando!
Im new to photography and would like to learn more about how to take good photos! I enjoy taking pictures of nature, people and places. My favorite place to take pictures is the peak district near Sheffield! Now that I recently move to Leeds I'll need to explore new areas to photograph!

Hi I,m Irene I have been a member for a couple of years, I love the site and I too enjoy the experience of photography and find the site gives me inspiration with techniques and also from images taken by other people.I am not good technically and tend to just point and shoot but I do try to compose a shot and try different angles. I don't really have any software other than the basic free stuff and powerpoint which is limited. My camera is a cannon 400D which I have had for a few years now but I do have two new lenses. I work full time at a school and try and take images when I can wherever I happen to be. I have a caravan in North Wales so a lot of images from that area.
Looking forward to sharing some images and browsing the images of others.

Hello, my name is Fred and I'm a photoholic.
Been making pictures for a few years now. My first camera was a Box Brownie in the late fifties.
I changed from Nikon kit to M43 kit a couple of years ago.... a lot less weight/volume to lug around as I am not getting any younger ! I try to carry a camera with me at all times.
I use LightRoom and PS5 for any post work.
Hope to see you all soon....

Hi! I'm Michelle, and as I write this, I'm brand new to this site. I decided to start this group because there's only one group for Canadian photographers, and it's for Saskatchewan. I love Saskatchewan - I lived out there for four years - but I don't live there. So I decided to start a group for BC since we have lots of photographs to share of our own province.
I'm single - never married - without children, but I do have a cat named Dublin who's doted on and spoiled rotten. He's very sweet, though, and a wonderful model for pictures. We've shared a home since 6 December 2008.
My birthday's in the first part of March, & I recently turned 47. I live in the Fraser Valley, and I've been in Agassiz since 1 November 2006.
My first camera came to me as a present back on Christmas 1977. It was a Fuji 100, & it was a great way to start taking pictures. I've had a few other cameras in my life, both film and digital. Now I have a Nikon Coolpix B500, which I got on 23 March. So only a few short days ago. I'm finding it to be a wonderful tool, & I look forward to seeing what all I can do with it.
I'm not quite a beginner, but I'm not an expert, either. I'm somewhere in between. My goal is to improve with the camera I currently have. I have worked as a freelance photographer for the local newspaper & done a few special things for friends.
Besides photography, I love to write, play music (sing, piano, guitar, flute, & trying out other instruments if the opportunity arises), read, crochet, colour, and spend time outside, especially if cycling, hiking, or walking.
Currently, my job is as a home health care aide, but I'm between clients. So aside from looking for other work and waiting for new clients to come my way, I have lots of time for photography and other things.

Hello, I'm Carol and love taking photographs of almost anything, but especially landscapes. I also enjoy looking at other people's photographs as you can always learn something and it's fun. Here's a photo I took in India which I call Evening Fishing. I have a Canon 750 and 4 lenses but am thinking I really need another for long-distance animal shots! I've been on this site for a few years and only found groups today.

It as been a long time since anyone made a comment. I hope that things will pick up. I have been a member of Ephotozine for 8 years. some has a free member and a few as a P1 member.( these times when I received gifts from family and friends. I still hope to learn to take Photographs and not my usual snapshots.
