New stuff

Finally decided after watching hours of Youtube videos and reading pages of written reviews, I've bought a Giottos MTL9351B tripod and
Giottos MH5001 3 way head for it.
Based on load capacity, the fact that it's extremely flexible(centre column adjustment), reliability and price.
Should be great for landscape and macro

I got it at a bargain price on Ebay along with a
Nikkor 50mm f1.8D lens(used)
Nissin Di622 mark 2 TTL flash(brand new for 50)
and an Optech strap for my new(to me anyway) D200

Hope it arrives soon as I'm planning some night shots this weekendWink

Nice one Jim, Looks like you got some serious bargains.....Smile

Enjoy you kit when it arrives, Don't forget to buy a small " Headlamp " torch thing that fits on your bonce.....Grin

Nothing worse than fumbling around in the dark....LOL...Been there done that...Wink

Something like a " Petzl " Tikka 2 should do it, Also handy if you want to try your hand at painting with light ( well torch that is ) Not my thing but can be fun.

I too love my Giottos, it oozes quality. Those Optech straps are fab as well, had one for ages now. Those flashes are ****, drop to bits after 2 uses. Just kidding about the flash. Enjoy your new stuff!
