New wide angle lens : Canon EF-S 10-18mm
My new wide angle lens just arrived. After much deliberating I opted for the Canon 10-18mm to use with my Fuji x-t3. The lens has very positive reviews, it's light and fairly compact and not expensive whereas the Fuji 10-24mm is nearly 900€ - cant justify that as I dont use a wide angle all that much, but was missing one for landscapes and architecture after moving to the Fuji. Just tested it with the Viltrox adaptor that I use for Canon lenses on the Fuji and it does not auto-focus. Not a big deal really for landscapes etc, but I contacted Viltrox and they promised to look into it.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your new toy. Too bad that the adapter does not electronically 'speak' to the camera. None that do available? I'd have to have one that did otherwise so much more than just auto focus would be wasted. Couldn't use image peaking, etc. I think I'd miss that and other aspects of the photographic experience, too much. And, you are quite right about the over priced Fuji native lenses. That was the one thing that put me off of choosing to build my kit around Fuji. Good shooting.

The adaptor talks to both lens and camera perfectly with the Canon 100mm f2.8 macro and the 50mm f1.8, full auto focus and stabilisation. It's just with this wide angle that the auto focus does not work, however focus peaking works fine.
