I had downloaded it when it was free and always store such downloads. I only use Silver Efex Pro now as HDR is far better done at Raw level in LR and Topaz covers just about anything else. I do use Topaz B&W but Silver efex pro is my favourite. However, I think I could mange without it to save £125.

After a 'computer specialist' deleted my version of the Nik Collection I was keen to replace it at no cost - I had bought the riginals when they were actually Nik. If you go to the DxO site there is a possibility of downloading the old Nik collection - they had the warning that these will not receive any support from them. It is a bit confusing as it says 'fill in the form below' and there is not what I would call a form below but just a space to add your email address. Having done this the Nik collection proceeded - with no further input by me - to be downloaded. It has taken me a while to get it into Photoshop as it wanted to load them into Bridge?! but there is a + sign on the 'loading' dialogue which enbles you to add another programme - but even then it wasn't that straight forward but not hard to do. They are now restored to PS CC and working well so anyone who wants them can do this and continue to enjoy the little miracles they do.

I do use Nik Silver on the odd occasion I do a conversion.
I used Jesters link ages ago and it works well in Photoshop filters menu. One downside, which I overcame was it did insist on crashing P/shop the trick was to create a duplicate layer and output the Nik processed image to the 'current layer' which, from memory is in the options within Nik.
I will try to find the work around link that gives much better instructions.
