Nikon D750 problem

Last Tuesday - 31 March, I took delivery of my (new) Nikon D750 with 24 - 120 F4 lens and I have spent time reading the manual and setting it up.
I have taken around 350 pictures but today, when I switch it on, instead of the normal display of aperture, shutter speed etc. it just shows AF-S S
I cannot look at menus, or playback, it just freezes.
Any ideas ????

Thanks for any advice.

Try removing and refitting the lens till you feel it click. On the D90 I had there are 2 buttons with green symbols next to them to do a factory reset.

Sometimes removing the battery for at least 30 seconds and then replacing it will sort an obstinate camera out.

How did you get on?

Thanks for your replies. It completely froze and I was unable to do anything - not even a factory reset. Tried another lens and battery but still dead.
The camera has been returned to the supplier and I am expecting a replacement to be delivered later today so hopefully this one will be ok.

Thanks again
