Good find - shame it is reduction for body only, as I am in the market for the 24-120 kit. I suspect buying this separately takes the combined price back up to something approaching RRP.

Getting better in price. At some point it is either this or the Df to use my Ai primes that I have recently been given. Smile

In the background most UK retailers have big backlog orders.
Normally by just after Christmas the price with a UK/EEC honoured Nikon warranty and VAT paid would have dropped by around 25% to 1,350.
The cheapest price I can now find noon A D750 at a leading UK price comparison site is 1,150. The site makes it clear taxes (20% for VAT) may be charged on arrival in the UK plus a grey import so no EEC warranty from Nikon Europe.
1,150 plus VAT (which UK VAT taxed retailers cannot avoid) is 1,380. When I got my official import VAT paid EEC warranty D750 a month ago at Digital Splash for 1,549 the grey import price, usually without VAT and no Nikon Europe warranty was around 1,350, or about 1,620 with VAT added.
On a perhaps significant detail my D750 and D850 Nikon warranty cards are headed "Nikon Europe Service Warranty". Nikon bodies originating elsewhere come with a service warranty valid in another part of the world.

No different to dealing with any other online supplier. I spoke to them first because of all the forum mumbo jumbo. It's a few years ago now but they were around in pre net days on the high street and they still allow collection from their warehouse.

Yes, they are grey imports but they offer a repair shop type warranty (fair enough, how many cameras have you ever had go wrong inside the warranty). They don't provide a VAT receipt to the every day punter but then who does, but if you request one, it will be included. They are a kosher company much like any other, they just source their goods outside of where the main manufacturers would prefer them to.

Thanks for that Keith much appreciated, having brick and mortar stores along side the site gives me a bit more confidence. The fact they give VAT receipts on request is a bonus and would mean I'd most likely spend a little more with them.
