Nikon d80 card door problem
having trouble getting card into d80 any ideas
Ensure that you do not have bent pins. If you do, it is an expensive repair.

the most surprising thing will be to compare the cost of a bent pins repair against a used D80 or D90....if it is the pins.

Hmm..agree with Dave, and maybe needs a peek with a magnifying glass...a CF card camera socket has a lot of very thin pins, if one or more are bent there’s gonna be problems..! If so, maybe a little fettling with a watchmaker’s screwdriver could straighten things out...

Unlike the earlier D70, the D80 uses SD cards and no Compact flash.
Have a good look in the card slot to see if there's anything in there that's stopping the card from going in.
