Hi...my D80 is still firmware 1.00
I don't have the neccesary skills to alter it.

....does it matter....if so why...?

It's dead easy Mike. Pop over to Nikon Europe Support and download the files inc. the instructions. Very easy 'step-by-step' process. They'll also have a document listing the changes to allow you to make a judgement as to whether you need to actually install the new level.

Thanks Mike...that was painless but I could find nothing that made me think I would need to upgrade.

I was checking it out for my D40. My D40 already had 1.10, and I bought it April 2007 - yet 1.10 was only just released?!?

I still applied it anyway, but wonder why it took so long to appear - unless mine was simply testing it without me knowing for the last 10 months Smile

It's your sandals, actually, that look like that! LOL!

I sport both sandals and a beard! Maybe I'm a sublimal Nikon convert? Wink

What do you think?

Well, I have three of them! Smile

I am still in half a mind to get the S602z repaired. It is a terrific 'go anywhere' little camera.

But then I only had half a mind to start with! (Gets in first, tee hee)
