There's been a rumour floating about that a version of Capture One was going to come out for Nikon users, similar to the Sony and Fuji versions. With Joe Mcnally being named as a brand ambassador for Capture One 3 weeks a go it seems even more likely. This could mean Nikon users will be able to get the software for less money.

Yes, I have seen those rumours as well.

It is not really a bespoke version, there is only one version of Capture One Pro, but will restrict usage to only Nikon Raw files, which is the case with Sony / Fuji Raw files.

Probably will be announced with the imminent update of C1 to probably v 20.1 ?

Also looks like they've added tailored profiles for a lot of Nikon cameras. also a couple of new or updated features, Heal & Clone Tools, Before & After Tool and a New Lightroom Catalog Importer.

Before / After is going to be useful especially the Split View.

Multiple heal source points on the same layer will please quite a few as it has been one of the top request for quite a while.
They have also improved the the automatic selection of the source point, you can of course pick your own.

I can see using it for " spotting " instead of the dedicated spotting tool.

I watched a sneak peek session they did last week and the improvements in the heal tool are impressive, looks like a reduction in trips to photoshop.

Paul Reiffer
Has some videos tutorials on the new features and other stuff as well.

The Live Editing Sessions are quite long but he goes through step by step process of editing images so well worth a watch if you are a C1 user Smile
