Nikon Z6 VR and Custom Control Assignment

Hi all
Just traded my D500 in and purchased Z6, mount and 24-70 f4s lens. I have heard that when you have an FX lens attached via the mount you don’t get the in camera VR 5 axis VR? Will the VR on the FX lens still work?
Also I have my D850 set up so I can stay AFC and change to AFS by pressing the PV button. Tried setting this up in Z6 but doesn’t seem to work? Anyone know if this can be done?
Appreciate any help.

Hi John,
With reference to your first question, then have a look at this link

Because the cameras built in VR system is so good I have found better results by turning off the VR controls on the lens.
And, it should be remembered that this will bring VR to earlier lenses such as the D, for example.
I have seen a review covering the second part of your query, but because that didn't apply to my needs I didn't take that much notice.
However I do remember where.....it was the Steve Perry channel on YouTube
Hope this assists moving forward with an exciting new addition
