Office 365 - Excel Problems Printing Workbooks

I have a problem withy printing workbook pages on my Canon Pixma TS8050. When I preview a workbook page it shows correct with all information visible. When I try and print it, the lines and the contents of ther cells do not print. The only cells that print are the headers and those that are blocked out in a colour as a horizontal divider.
If I save the page as a pdf and then open it, the page displays correctly, but when I try to print from the pdf, the same thing happens as above.
To save either the printer or laptop going out of the window, has anyone any ideas as it's driving me nuts.

Just removing the egg from my face so that I can reply. It helps to replace the black cartridge when it runs out. In my defence I run it to the limit as the priter tells me quite in advance that the ink is running low, just underestimated how long I had run it with the light flashing. Sorry for wasting everyone's time and thanks very much for the help.
