Great photos RedAdniral, I liked the inclusion of the camera crew on the motorcycle, quite an effort from them also, and the arrow pointing forward to the direction of the viewer. I also liked the inclusion of the hand and the flag, the only hint in the picture of where this photo is taken(?!!!) Thanks for the uploading,

Cor, chuffed. Just got a ticket for next Saturday morning athletics session in the Olympic Park. Brill. I'll heed Chris's info above and chance the DSLR and Tamron 18-270mm. It's quite compact before zooming so I'll get it in my handbag OK. With the hood on and fully extended it reaches to 27cm. I presume that'll be OK.

You won't have any problems, they really are quite relaxed about cameras and no one seems to be using a tape measure at security, Enjoy your day.

Yup no problem at all AFAICS.
Go for it Chris - I took in a shoulder sachel type bag fll of gear and they really arn't interested as long as it will go under your seat.
Take in 20 pounds of semtex and you might have a few problems though.

Yesterday at the Equestrian I had my D700 & Sigma 150-500 in my backpack & my binos. My backpack fitted under the seat. No one said anything. At the rowing I had 2 bodies and 2 lens 70-200 and wide angle. No problems. Lots of empty seats. Not sure about the arena

And I complain about 'not having enough time' to get down to the gym....Sad

A few shots showing the massive support in the stadium for the athletes....the empty area where the world's media sat on the finishing line for the main Olympics, but, sadly, no longer attend for the Paralympics -(boo!)-, and crowd entertainment outside the stadium.
