olympus ring flash srf-11 with OMD mk2 12-40 lense

I am a total beginner with an interest in photography.

I have bought a few bits of kit. I have invested in a olympus ring flash srf-11 to go with my omd mk2 12-40 lense. I have found that it doesn't clip on to my lense.

Any ideas of an adapter I can buy or tips to keep it on? I guess it's okay to hold but would be much nicer if there was a way to make it stay.

Thanks in advance!!

SRF-11 is designed for the 4/3 lens and fits on the 14-54mm and 50-200mm lenses. It will not fit on the 12-40mm lens. There may be an adapter you can buy. Also, It is design for macro photography and not great for general use. I think you should think about returning it and get a FL-600R unless you really want to take up macro photography.

I purchased a Youngnuo ring flash for my Canon 60D and it comes with adapters for different sized lenses. However duratorque is correct. Ring flashes are really designed for macro and unless you have a dedicated macro lens it may be a bit pointless.
