Has anyone used the Panasonic 100-400 lens, if so what is your opinion (I have a OM-D E-m1)

Absolutely cracking lens. Not quite up to the Oly 300mm, but vey good and more versatile.

Its a great lens and for the right subjects works well with the EM-1 but in my experience you really need the EM-1 mk2 to get the best from it (out of interest I spent a couple of hours this afternoon shooting with it on my EM-1 after many thousands of shots on the EM-1 mk2 and was surprised just how much harder it was to shoot birds in flight and the like)

Capable of very good results on the EM-1 all the same

a few pics using the EM-1 can be seen in my earlier albums on my flikr site, like this one from Thruxton last year NG road race meeting

and here some pics of my Windsurfing action

Avon Beach

On the EM-1 I would rate the IBIS better for action / panning and OIS for static work

I bought it for wildlife (bird on sticks) but the focus was all over the place.
The camera (Panasonic G80) kept focusing on the background and not on the bird and the only way to use it was manual focus.
Also for wildlife photo's you need to keep the camera switched on and it drained the battery very quickly.
I gave up and sold the 100-400mm lens
