Park Cameras

To anyone who's ever used Park Cameras: are they OK to buy from online, and is their returns service OK? Anything else I should know? I've only ever used Wex and wouldn't go past them but currently Wex don't have the piece of kit I'm looking for: Park Cameras do.
Any and all advice most welcome, thanks.

I have ordered from them a few times though not in the last five years. They are well respected and were around some while before Wex I think. Ordering on-line was my only option and resulted in prompt and efficient service. I never had any reason to used the return service though. Their website is high on my browsing list alongside Wex and LCE.

Used them before without a problem. But last week I ordered a new lens online, and only after it had gone through I get e mail to say it’s out of stock. I wish the site had said out of stock when I was ordering it but it didn’t.
So I now know there not getting it in until 8th January, if I had known I would have gone elsewhere

I parted with more than five-and-a-half-thousand quid in their London branch back in the summer.
There was an issue with an out of stock lens which I had to wait for and I subsequently settled for an as-new used one that they'd acquired and which was bought over the phone.
The lens arrived, as promised, a couple of days later, securely packaged and exactly as described.
In my experience; first class people do be doing business with.

Good idea.
The lens that I wanted but that they didn't have was in stock according to their website the day before I went there, so perhaps it sold before I got there and I was just unlucky.
The reason that I settled for a used one was that stock of the new one that I was waiting for was being held up somewhere due to various lockdowns having thrown transport and elivery times all over the place.
In fairness to Park, no-one else had a copy of that lens in stock either.

Most places will be quite good at selling things, but the real test comes when something goes wrong. A few years ago, I bought a second-hand body from Park, with, I think, a six-month warranty. A couple of months after that expired, I had a problem with the shutter. I rang them and explained it was past its warranty, but they quite happily took it in anyway, fixed it and returned it, all with no charge. I was seriously impressed and have been very happy dealing with them ever since. Hope that helps, Bob.
