I've been looking at replacement straps and harnesses to use with my Pentax K-3ii and K-r. Quite a few are described as having 3/8" (i.e. 0.375" or 0.95cm) webbing attachments e.g. Op/Tech USA straps. The straps that came with my Pentaxes are a little wider and I cannot find an official specification for the strap attachments. Will the 3/8" straps be ok on the K-3ii and K-r? Thanks in anticipation.

Probably yes, if you've still got any doubt, find a local friendly camera shop and try the one your thinking of purchasing, if not buy on line from Amazon and if it doesn't fit as you wish, providing its in the original packaging, you should be able to return it

I've been using an ancient Optech (originally bought in film camera days) strap on my Pentax K50 for the last 4 years with no problems.

Thank you all for your comments. It's the Op/Tech dual harness I've been looking at. It has good reviews and is a sensible price in a sale at present, as is the neck strap I'll need to go with it. Smile

I've been using the Op-Tech ones for the last 15 years and they are great, I like the way you can easily detach your strap when using your camera on a tripod, just leaving the little 'tails' behind, also handy as you can click in a wrist strap or harness, very versatile and inexpensive compared to a lot of others out there.
