PM doesn't have to change the forum - it depends how you implement it.

I would recommend that PM was initiated from the user profile - a simple, "contact user" button, taking you through to a form with all the T&C's and submit button.

I've contacted several members directly and on all bar one occasion, it was through the gallery because I wanted to buy a print of their photo.

nobody writes to me anyway. PM just makes me feel more unloved.

You hit the nail on the head there Dan!

A lot of people would find they are not as, er, 'popular' as they think they are, i.e. far from being pestered with PMs, they will hardly ever (or indeed never) receive one.

Lol!! :o)

In a nutshell, all the people who have used, and have experience of PM, are in favour,
nearly all those who haven't used it, see non existent problems.

You can't beat a bit of personal massaging between consenting adults. Smile

Like I said elsewhere - you get s*d all choice these days.

Still vote for 'The Who' though.

Despite 'Pins and Needles' (mostly from sitting at this computer).

What about just a phone book of e-mails people can be in voluntarily if they want to go of and PM somewhere?

And only available to members?

Deviant / Kit Monster

Thats how PM's work. They are only available to members, and members can opt in or out of the PM system. PM's also have the advantage of keeping their actual e-mail addresses private. If we had a private address book that would be open to abuse from a disgruntled member, signing up someone for spam mail for instance.
