Hi guys!
I’m planning on putting my photos into a landscape photography book. I was wondering how that is usually done? I was thinking of putting it into a PDF. When it is being printed, would I need to submit separate JPEG versions of the photos?

I would guess that the best answer to your query would be to choose a company then ask them how they require the images.

The book printers have free software to download that allow you to drag and drop your images into whatever layout you want and which you can modify.
Use high quality jpgs, just as if you were printing them individually yourself. I take it the book will be A4 pages. Either way I wouldn't resize, let the software worry about that which should warn you if an image is not high enough resolutuion, for example if it's a heavy crop and you want it fuill page. Make sure the profile is sRGB.
All that said, carefully read the guides that come from your chosen printer.

I use Albelli, now Bonuprint. So easy to use and lots of options. I usually upload about 2mb each photo and customise each page with layout and print.

Thanks guys!
I hadn’t yet given any consideration to the publishers but will have a good look. It’ll be a long term project and at the moment I’m just thinking of selecting the photos and writing a bit about the areas concerned.

Re using high quality jpgs, are mobile photos ok for this?

Can highly recommend Bonusprint. You can either upload your photos to their online system or (my preference) download their software. Once you've got the knack of it it's reasonably easy. The finished 'book' is then uploaded et voilà! Good quality books..

PS check for special discounts... you can sometimes get 40/50% off...and don't forget to use Topcashback or Quidco.
