Photoshop reduced file format choice when saving?

Hi,

Sometime when I want to save in photoshop I have a reduced choice of file format. I have only the following options:
*.PSD, *.PSB, *.PDF, *.RAW, *.PNG, *.TIFF.

What is happening? I want to save my file JPEG! Can anyone help.

You are probably working in an image with 16 bit colour depth, or is it that you have a non-RGB colour space. Convert it to 8 bit colour depth and look.

You have probably got a 16-bit image. You need to convert it to 8-bit before you can save it as JPEG.

Go to Image menu, Mode, then change to 8-bit.

This is it...Changed it in camera raw and forgot about it!
