Photoshop won't open in the 'Creative cloud' or from the icon in the task bar. I have recently upgraded to Windows 11. Please help.

I'm not sure what you're referring to by 'Creative Cloud.' If you mean the app., then I don't know what to do about that; mine's working, I just looked but regarding the icon on your taskbar, you might simply need to replace it using the 'exe.' file from the Programmes folder.

A lot of my problems is when I process a picture in Lightroom then try to send it to Photoshop, nothing happens. I get a message from user account control, '' do you want to allow this app (Photoshop)to make changes to your device'' ! I press ' yes' and nothing happens.
I am very confused !

Have you tried opening Photoshop using the 'exe.' file in Programmes yet?

Can you right click on an image and 'open with' Photoshop from the drop down?

It does sound though, if you're getting user account messages, there's something more sinister going on.

What about uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. I right clicked on a picture still no go. I don't understand about 'exe' files. I'll try again in the morning , getting tired now !!

You have to use the 'Edit' function in Lightroom to open an image in PS. Right click on the image in Lightroom and click on 'Edit in', choose Photoshop. You also have to have opened both Lightroom and Photoshop as Administrator. To do this right click on their icons and a small menu will open click on the 'More' in the middle and another a small menu will open, the middle is an option to open as Administrator. The same process is used for both. you should then have no further problems.

It kind of helped. Right click on picture, then 'edit in' after a few minutes it comes with the message that Lightroom couldn't launch photoshop. Click Ok on the message and it opens in Photoshop !!. Lightroom won't ''open in layers in Photoshop'', so I can't blend pictures

No if you are editing in Photoshop you have to use the layers in Photoshop - creating them in PS is the only way. I think as I have just added a section on 'opening bth as Administrator' which I had forgotten. Read it again and try then but layers are not possible in Lightroom.

Quote: but layers are not possible in Lightroom.

I think what Daffy1 is saying that if, for example, he has five bracketed pictures selected in Lightroom, by clicking on "Open as layers in Photoshop" that should creat a file in Photoshop with each Lightroom image as a layer. He can then blend etc in Photoshop.

Hope this clarifies the situation. Sorry I have no answer to the actual problem
