Google have upgraded Picassa to version 3 which now handles NEF RAW files from the D300.

You can now add text to your images as well as a few options for the slide show.

It`s free - so give it a try.

Ray

My Nikon D300 Raw files are now shown and there are a some more options for the slide show and I think the options for collages are a bit different.

Try going to any pic on your system and click on it. Very useful.

They have added a Text tool that allows text markup to be added over a shot and this can then be toggted on amd off. Quote handy for quick comments and schematics.

It's also a lot quicker than v2 and doesn't hog resources the same.

There is also a nifty little 'collage' tool.

As a thought how many ways are there to organise your photos, I have ended up with Zoom Browser, Photoshop Elements, Picassa, Acdsee, tried others like Irfan View and Fast Stone Viewer(I think thats what its called).
I am not really in to RAW processing yet.
What do others use and recommend?

I use MS Expression, Picasa and a good old folder structure. Smile

As Ian says, if your folder structure is solid then you are well on the way. You can pretty much sort everything through Picasa now and I find it much more flexible than Elements Organiser for example. I only use RAW and it handles that easily as well.

Oh I have. In fact counting laptops I have 5 machines currently. Only one is a Mac, and it's going back if they don't release a Mac version of picassa soon. Wink

Expect a google OS before too long that will let you run their applications on most machines.
