Three cameras (+ three camera phones/tablet), several lenses and very little photography over the past few months.................. hmm, some disconnect there! Sad

I definitely need a new project! Smile

I have a book "Photographers Guide to the Lake District" by E.Bowness.
My challenge for 2019 is to produce ICM images at the locations, rather than straight photographs.

- try using slow motion video to get the complete sequence of a bee opening its proboscis as it approaches a flower and closing it after feeding (I've managed most of this using high speed sequential but still missed a few critical microseconds of the action )

- the same for my wind and kite surf work

- learn how to edit video properly, its still a black hole as far as I am concerned

- spend even more time on our local beach shooting the action, whilst keeping my wife happy (probably the most difficult target Wink )

Just finishing a 1/52 project. I would recommend one to anyone, but at doubt Iíll do it again this year as itís soaked up too much time. Perhaps a 1/12 project will have to suffice this year...

About five years ago, I completed a 365.
I'd recommend that too but it was much harder work than I'd anticipated at the start.
As you quite rightly say, time was my greatest enemy.

To try some macro scenes in the time i can carve out.

To pick up my camera after some years of inactivity and get more involved in ephotozine.

Ditto...but was encouraging fun too..maybe a more leisurely ď52Ē could be interesting...I must give that some thought...

I could be tempted by that too.

Taking a decent shot each day for a year was, as it turned out, quite a challenge and there were occasions when just any shot had to do.
To tackle one a week, I'd have to have some kind of target or specified goal in mind for each of those weeks.

There is a very good group on flickr called "52 Weeks 2019".
It is just for fun and a new theme is published is each week. You do not have to submit an image every week. Just join in on what appeals to you.
You have to create an image on the theme taken after the date the challenge is posted. So no dipping into any archived images at the organizers request.
There were some inspirational photographers posting in the 2018 theme, especially a young French woman and members are from all around the world.
It is also good to see how everyone interprets the theme differently.
The 2019 group has just opened for people to join.

Happy New Year everyone. May we all get blisters from pressing that shutter in 2019.

Thanks rhody but I just can't get on with Flickr.

I've tried numerous times, over the years, even going so far as to revisit it earlier this year (2018) but it doesn't get any better.

What I really need is a list of 52 diverse ideas; all of which must capture my interest, be challenging (but not to the point where the fun goes out of it), be achievable without too much effort but above all fun.

Oh! and no silly creative stuff that has no meaning.
