Just by coincidence I wanted to buy a programme to create a 'slide show' and discovered that Photodex was closing down in 4 days time (1st Feb) ! I downloaded proshow gold version 9.0.3797 but there seems to be no instruction book available for this version.
Any ideas if there are instruction books or vids that are proshow gold version 9.0.3797 ?

Photodex is closed permanently. You can't buy Proshow Gold or Producer anymore.

I know, it closed 31st Jan but as you see, I did manage to buy one just before they closed, downloaded and sitting in my PC.

There is also Pictures2exe that works well.

Now it's PTE AV Studio - a renamed product PicturesToExe mentioned above. It's really a good replacement for Proshow Gold.

Seeing as I have only just purchased Proshow gold I might as well give it a try eh? What I would really like to know is... is there a manual for the 9.0. 3797 or what is nearest?

Try This .

I found it with a Google search but not sure how helpful it will be.

Colin, IIRC, there's a demo slideshow that you can load. It's worth doing that and getting a feel for how it works. It's a fab program, ahead of its time when I first used it, around 2004 I reckon.

My top tip would be to not resize your images before loading them into ProShow. Give it full size best quality JPEGs. It can resize them itself and does a great job but when they are bigger than the slideshow you can pan and zoom, do the "Ken Burns Effect"
