Question of supplier

I need to replace an original Canon EOS 5D. For type of pictures I take, I have decided to get the EOS 5DSR as the ability to choose formats from full frame to 1.6 crop within one body is very attractive. I have been looking at prices and those offered by a company called Paramoz and WOW cameras looks attractive. I do recall that Paramoz hasbeen around for a while. Have readers had any dealings with them and if so, will appreciate any feedback.

Someone in our camera club bought a 5D Mk4 from Panamoz this summer. He had to send it back to Canon UK under the Panamoz UK Warranty scheme. They checked it and said there was nothing wrong with the camera and they could not repeat the alleged fault in their labs, so they sent it back.
It turned out to be operator error on his part. All he lost was the cost of postage but the Warranty procedure in the UK worked as promised.

Ari, its a little off topic, but there is a HUGE jump between the 5D and 5DSr. The latter is very unforgiving of limitations in lens design and minor errors in technique.
E.g. when I made the swap to the 5DS I had expected to be ok with my existing L series lenses. However, I found that many of my lenses were just not up to the job (especially in the corners) and that overall image quality suffered as a consequence (particularly my 17-40mm L and 100-400mm L. I have read similar issues relating to the older 16-35mm L f2.8). I ended up replacing my two main lenses - something I had not wanted or budgeted to do.
There are other options available which allow full frame to crop sensor switching (Nikon for example). Consider carefully whether the lenses you have will perform on the new body as you want. If not, changing systems becomes a realistic proposition. I also suspect that the 5D MkIV offers the same function regarding crop sensor, but the drop in resolution will likely make a change in glass so critical if you have any older lenses.

I've just bought a DSLR from WOWCameras, okay it is a grey import but it came with a UK instruction book and a UK battery charge.
It arrived just 5 days after ordering and a problem with the courier was sorted out quickly by WOW.
It was a very positive experience and far better than some I've had from the UK bricks and mortar guys.
I also saved a several hundred pounds which can't be bad.

Nothing wrong with grey imports, afterthe rain. Grey is used like a mantra to imply second class citizenship/dogy. If enough people bought grey, prices overall will become reasonable, ie market rules.
I will be getting my purchase within the next week or so from Wow or from Paramoz. I believe Paramozz is also grey.
