"An exhibition celebrating the life's work of Michael Kenna, one of the most acclaimed landscape photographers of his generation. His photographs have been the subject of some 50 monographs and are held in the collections of over 100 museums worldwide. His work is presented in collaboration with Huxley-Parlour Gallery.
Kenna only photographs his work in black and white, as he believes 'black and white is immediately more mysterious because we see in colour all the time. It is quieter than colour.' He prefers to photograph on his own, in silence, creating a sense of calm, solitude and tranquillity in his photographs."
If you enjoy the beauty of silver gelatine prints produced by a master photographer, you will not be disappointed by this exhibition at the Bosham Gallery of Fine Art Photography.
Michael has some outstanding images on display.
The gallery is located in the picturesque village of Bosham which lies within Chichester Harbour, an area of outstanding natural beauty in West Sussex.
It ends on the 31st August.

It is a spectacular display of his work SlowSong and the quality of his own prints is simply staggering.
There are 40 of his 200 images on display.
I've got to go back again because I enjoyed it so much.
Inspirational images and admirable work ethic.

Certainly sounds as if it's worth making the effort to see...bit too far for me, though...

Quite good work. I saw the pictures in the website of the gallery but, as always, nice to see them on paper.
I wonder what camera does he use nowadays..

The gallery told me he prefers to use his Hasselblad 6x6 although he did produce an entire book taken with a Holga camera.
Apparently, he refuses to adopt digital, preferring to work with film.
Stunning images and work ethic all the same.

We went to see the exhibition today. Well worth the journey. The curator said that they might extend the display into September.
We were so impressed with the quality we bought four prints.
