Just went back through some photos and picked a raw pic, converted in RSE and CS2, zoomed in on one eye, HERE , (a gorilla, ISO 1100) and put together to show comparison, believe me if would have been happy with RSE I would not have spent so much on CS2!!, as I say It could just be me & my settings but I could not get the results, if anyone else can then thats good & will save a fortune, but for me I could not get anything I was happy with.

In most reviews what's the one major factor that gets reviewers all gushy about RSE?

You don't need me to tell you.

I think I see one problem - Cranking up the saturation is going to cause a posterisation type effect in any softwre.

Also. The gorilla image looks a little soft in RSE. No more than a need for sharpening. May be wrong, may be my old eyes and monitor can't tell the difference.

Doesn't in C1...looks crap, but then it would in any software.

Free, Colin.....it's free...which has been it's biggest 'selling' point since day one.

I paid last week for a digital workshop with Andy Rouse....

Most of the day will probably be spent saying - Andy enough of the RSE or whatever, how do you do it in C1 or breezebrowser/photoshop Wink

Indeed. Blimey! :-O

Well the AR book I have says he uses C1 and Breezebrowser so I guess he'll be able to answer: whether he will be willing to do so will be another matter! Wink
