I was out with my new Z7 yesterday and using the touch screen autofocus, and most of the subjects were highlighted in red on the monitor. Why please explain ? Damian

Possibly "focus peakig"? All items in focus have a colour. Might I suggest you read the manual to find out for certain.

Either that or it indicates areas that are over-exposed (blown details) - normally red, and for under-exposed the colour is often blue.

As you seem not to want to read the manual I have searched the Internetfor you. This video explains focus peaking for you and demonstrates the red colour.

Normally the red lines which are a focusing aid only appear when you set the camera to manual focus.
