Just purchased the Canon 100mm L macro lens to photograph little critters. Can anyone recommend any good books for identifying insects, butterflies etc?
Cheers

The one I use if you can get hold of it is " Readers Digest Nature Lovers Library Field Guide to the Butterflies and other insects of Britain", i picked this one up from a mate who runs a second hand bookshop. You may be able to pick this up on the net, it is very detailed and I find it very good for identifying all types of insects, it also contains useful information on their habitats and which parts of the country and times of year you can find certain species
