Regrets

Most of us have owned more than one piece of photographic equipment over the years, so what have you owned and either regretted getting rid of - for whatever reason - or indeed regretted buying in the first place?
My biggest regret was losing the magnificent Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 when I switched from Canon to Fuji. That lens was so sharp! Fortunately, the Fuji 50-140 f/2.8 is a worthy substitute, perhaps 95/100 compared to the Canon's 100/100.
As for buying, I have drawers full of small gadgets I thought were useful at the time, especially for use in a studio scenario...
So what have you regretted?

I sold a Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ 80 which I was using as an everyday 'pocket' camera. I bought a new Sony DSC HX 400v to replace it, but as it is as big as a small DSLR couldn't get on with it. Sold it & bought another DMC TZ80.
I also sold my Minolta 9000 af and lenses too soon for a few £ when digital arrived.

Quote:I regret losing my mind...
Seriously, I let go of a 5D MkII at one point that I loved to bits. The upgrade to the 5DS was worthy, but I should have kept the 5DII and had it converted to IR.
Buying - a load of old Bronica 4x5 gear. Hopeless...
The 5D series were really great cameras - and still are. I had the II and the III.

Can I put the opposite viewpoint? I used Nikon kit for years and loved it. I moved over to MFT Panasonic kit a few years back (currently a G90) and have never regretted it! Less weight, easy to use and the IQ is just as good from a smaller sensor. What's not to like? My photos are about to be used on our new village website so long live MFT.
