Are there any remote triggers on the market for the Canon EOS R apart from Canon's own make

You may be able to control it remotely from a phone or tablet. Personably, I control my 5D4 from an iPad when I need to. Also remembers that there is another alternative to a remote triggers for some static situations. If your camera is on a tripod and your concern is to avoid nudging the camera when firing the shutter, then just set the shutter for a 2 second or 10 second delay. I find 2 seconds is normally sufficient to ensure all movement has gone before the shutter fires. I am fairly certain your camera will have very similar facilities to mind as I understand that the main electronics are taken from the 5D4.
