Samsung Galaxy S4

With a 5" screen. It's way bigger than my current smartphone and not shirt-pocketable - 136.6mm in height.
But maybe this could be an alternative to a tablet?

Quote:A tablet it is not. Far easier to type the simplest of things on a tablet than a phone...any phone. The Galaxy Note comes closer and would be the obvious photographers phone-cum-tablet.
Why would that be? The Galaxy Note has a 5.8" screen compared to the 5" screen of the S4..... not a huge difference, surely?
Even on the 3.5" screen of my current phone , and using Swype - as I am doing right now, I don't have any problem.

Quote:Its also handbaggable so should suit CB.
Fair point!

I'd disagree. I'm currently using my S3 as a mobile router for my laptop, and it also gets daily use as a sat-nav and mobile computer. I picked up a cable for it (only cost a quid), and can plug in portable hard drives or my DSLR for data transfer on the go.
.8 of an inch is almost a twenty percent increase CB. Think of it as the difference between a 36 and a 42 inch TV.
