I received an email today purporting to come from paypal saying that my account details were in error, and would I resend!

I have never had a pay pal account or used that outfit!

Looking at the message in r/click propertiesit said that it came from 'nobody'!

Naturally I binned it, but it it is worrying to receive such messages. One wonders what is going on.

I have received these scams too.

I have a number of email addresses for different purposes and organistations. It is my policy to delete anything which has incorrect English, comes from an unexpected source or is just plain suspicious.

I know what to expect, from who on each address. Anything else is binned.

If you have a real problem with spam and it is worth money to stop it, then there is an American based service called SpamArrest. I recently encountered this when an American organisation contacted one of my organisations, it was an interesting experience. As I do not consider it worth the cost at present I have put it on hold. May consider it in future.
