Having problems.

I'm on a Mac using Acrobat Pro X and Word 2011.

So from Acrobat Pro I'm trying to Combine Files into a single PDF but it appears that the Word document is not a supported File Format......unbelievable!!

I cannot select from file or drag into the box.

Any ideas?

Have just tested on my PC, combine Word 2013 & Word 1997-2003 documents without issue.
Used the add file & drag.

Have you tried the add file button?

Yes....but you can't add the files..its says format not recognised. After a bit of digging it appears its a Mac problem.......and with the recent upgrades you can't even select Convert Format of Word Files and batch process to PDF that way either in Automator. Sad

I think I need someone especially nerdy to work this one out.

Looks like there is a fix here ?

Or maybe just open all the word docs in word & save as RTf ?

Save each document as a PDF from the save as dialog box in word. Then open one of the PDF you created and I think the document menu in Acrobat gives you the option to add pages from an existing PDF. Add all of your other documents and save.
Hope this helps.

John...I know I can do that but I have over 50 files I wanted to save in a singular pdf...or batch process the lot into separate pdfs. I've used an online converter now so its sorted.
