Selling your photos as laptop/pc wallpapers

For quite some time I've been toying with the idea of selling some of my images as laptop/pc wallpapers. The only trouble is I'm not sure how you go about it and which is the best way to do it. I have my own website so presumably I could sell them via this route. If anyone out there has any ideas or in fact does this themselves and can give me all the necessary info and guidance as to sizes and resolution etc I would be extremely grateful.

Many thanks guys.

Simply find the common resolution for say 24inch lcds,27,30
Then laptops 13,15,17
For example for my screen a 1:1 image would need to be 2560x1400 pixels as it is a 27inch.
Resize the mages for each and list them on your site.

Normally sell them for the same price. normally a couple of pounds.

Good idea. The only problem I see is that, with so many available free of charge, how would you persuade anyone to pay?
