I am now considering shooting raw with my S9500 and I would like some advice on which programme to use to convert my files (if that is the correct term) I have two photographic programmes that I use at present these being Photoshop7 and Paint Shop Pro X.

Also I would like some info on bracketing as I have now got Photomatix Pro3 and would like to produce some images using this software.

the best program to use is the raw file converter that came with the fuji disk, when each raw file is converted it will be a 50 meg tiff image, you can use this file with either PSP or Phtotshop,

bracketing should be fairly straight forward, but when you do select it on your cam , dont forget to set the shot setting to continuous, otherwise you will need to keep clicking for each bracketed shot,

Don't think it supports Fuji cameras, let alone the s9500, otherwise it would have been my recommendation too.

I use photoshop CS2 which now supports the RAF format. THe free bundled software with the camera (S9600) is next to useless. Use photoshop CS2 if you have it.

It came with the camera so try first. It won't cost you anything to do so, and it may just save you some money!

Fuji's software is also one of the worst user interfaces in the world, but the rsults of their conversions is excellent. Any image that is going to be printed larger than 10*8 or is shot over ISO 800 I use the Fuji software, far better than Lightroom/CS3, the closest quality wise would be SilkyPix
