Wow, it's really disturbing looking at that shot when the sigma 10-20 i've bought just arrived in the post this morning!

Sorry to hear yours messed up, I hope you get something even better for the replacement!

I can't seem to view the link either, which is a real shame as I'm quite intrigued to see how my 10-20 would look if I took it apart!

got in on the second link, looks good.
The HSM must have had more than that part as it is basically motor as I understand it so one of the other sections must have been the rest as it works like all motors with magnatism(?).
If the insyurance co don't want my Nikon 70-200IFEDG2.8VR I'll rip it down cos I bet it's bloody complicated inside!!

Managed to get the 2nd link to work (perseverance!!). Wow, how does all that fit into the lens?

now you should artistically arrange some of the components, and take some macro shots of them! Fascinating to see all that goes into one of these - especially since I've just bought the same lens myself!
