Sigma 120/300 F2.8
Has anybody tried using a Sigma 2x tele converter with the above lens, if so how did you get on , did you lose auto focus or not , and is it as good as using the 1.4 which I sometimes use , is the 2x worth buying.

with the 2x it is slower to auto focus is sharpish wide open at 5.6 but sharp sharp at f8. Use only sigmas 2x tc on it.

I had the Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 os version and loved it, I also used the Sigma 2x on it as well and found no issues with it.
You will need to get used to it like any new set up but it works very well, I used mine in good light at as close to f8 as i could, conditions permitting hence the good light bit, I could usually get 1/1250 shutter speed and a ISO of around 400.
This shot was taken using this set up with a 2x on the Sigma 120-300mm f2.8, make your own mind up what you think.
