Can anyone help PLEASE.. ive just purchased this lens off ebay Mint condition the seller said it can be used on dslr cameras so i bought it currently using a Canon EOS 1D MK3.. However ive tested it as he said at 2.8 only but well out of focus? So can this be used on this camera .... HELP thanks Steve

In a word .... no.

It will need to be re-chipped and it is very unlikely that Sigma will have any left in stock. So it will only work wide open at f2.8 where this lens will not be at its best. I forget the the cut - off but it may work on a 10D, anything later and it is a no.

I hope you have the chance to return...

Many thanks for knowledge i have sent ebay a request to get a full refund shame as the lens is in mint condition
