Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG Macro For Nikon Digital & Film Cameras

Has anyone got one of these to advise me if it is worthwhile buying? I am more interested in using it for landscape than macro as I have a Tamron macro. The price is interesting. I have a Nikon d60 and wonder if it is only manual focus or what.
Thanks,
Maureen

I have a 70-300 with `macros' between 200-300mm...you need the APO version for auto focus otherwise it will be manual. I'm more than happy with mine. Here's one of my more recent uploads with the Sigma lens Smile

Hi Maureen,

I purchased one some time ago for the wife to use as the 100/300 F4 was to heavy, I was at an air show last weekend and used it on our spare body and was most impressed, focusing was quick, it locked on well and was easy to use, I may get her to do more in the gym and get her to use the 100/300 Smile

Thanks Chris and Cats,
I was very impressed by your shot of those birds Cats. Beautiful. I have added another vote.
