Smart Collections

I do not use Lightroom but in the software I use one can create Smart Albums from metadata, including keywords.
So, if you add the appropriate season keyword you can create Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter smart albums.
Selecting months may already exist as a date option when creating the smart album but again keywording the month will work.
As for " this week " I am not sure why you would want to be this specific and " this week " would not be the same from year to year
Maybe setting up 52 smart albums based on Week Number keywords would work but you would have to add them yourself as my software, for example, does not have a Week Number date option.

Lightroom already has variables for smart collections called "this week" and "this month". Handy if you want to look at just the recent stuff and nothing more. It's different every day.
Google Photos, Amazon Photos and social media apps like Facebook have features, pretty similar to each other, where upon opening the app they will display things like: "This Week - 5 years Ago" or "This Day 10 Years ago". Newspapers do similar "this week in history" type of things to.

Thanks Dave, that would take some time but would work, I don't want to manually add the keywords. The people finder has added the keyword Autumn for my sister (it's her name). A friend has a horse called Summer.
I wish I hadn't used the example of seeing all summer images.
I'm more interested in being able to see automatically what was taken on this day/week or month in history when Lightroom starts up.
I don't want to have to add any keywords when Lightroom already has the information needed. 70,000 images are already dated (by the cameras that wrote the files to memory card)

I have just checked, and it is easy; you just set the criteria for the particular collection. I have one which collects all my 5* images after a specific date. But I notice that you can set before, after or equal to a capture date so combining a before and after should set the window you require. I use the current version of Classic but suspect this is probably true for earlier versions as well.

I can set a window, everything after March 2019 but before December 2021, for example. but that doesn't do what I described I would have to manually update those dates.
Let's say I want to see images that were taken on 17th September over the last 15 years.I'd have to create 15 smart collections.
I just want to do what Amazon Photos (and Facebook and GooglePhotos etc) do automatically, as described in my posts above.

LR reads the date (it offers capture date or Edit date) and I choose Capture date which is in the image EXIF data which comes from your camera. So, unless you have edited the EXIF data, which is unlikely, it should work fine. I have just checked that this also works for LR5 as well as the current version.

Where you have shown Capture date in the range, I believe that is what you need. So, if you set the range to 2021-09-01 to 2021-11-1 (assuming this definition for Autumn. You would need to repeat this for each year you wish to include. After showing all the Autumn images in smart Collection, I would keyword them Autumn then get rid of this smart collection and create one based on the keyword Autumn. From then on keyword images just after uploading to LR.
Personally, using dates would be no use to me as I take many different genres and your date method does not distinguish between them. So, if you attended a portrait session or motorcycle racing event in the Autumn, surely you would not wish to include those as they have no direct connection with Autumn. I do not specifically use season Keywords myself other than Winter.

As I said, the Autumn and Summer were just examples that I wish I had never mentioned.
All I wanted to do was to see images that I had taken on certain days, for example September 11th, but in every year. Anyway I found out how to do it with the Library filtering with a couple of clicks.
I understand that it would be no use to you, but it is to me. Thanks for trying Dave.
For anyone interested add a Day and a Month column. In the example I could see that I had taken 75 images on the 17th of September, seeing those has already inspired me and reminded me of some locations I want to return to.
